Thanks! I did not know that Monarda would get 5 feet tall. I got my DH to help me stuff it in there, it was all over the place. It does not hold it self up, 'Raspberry Wine'. I like the shorter ones better, I need to pay attention.

I love how the mixed bed looks. I have the same problem with my monarda. I had heard the Jacob Cline was a good variety but it flopped too. What are you planning for that metal shelf?

The shelves are missing so I am using it for a trellis, at least temporarily. I have two pink clematis I want to plant there next to the cotton candy and grand parade, which is a monarda that does not flop by the way.

I don't think I would chop Monarda. Them stems are hollow. I would worry about getting a lot of rain and it rotting from the inside, or just getting diseased
