It looks to be Licorice Vine. There are different ones, including a variegated one.

I have grown the variegated and its a beauty.

Those containers are wonderful Jo Ann. They have sure filled out beautifully, and have so much color.

I just saw that plant today, that's how I recognized it.

Its really dramatic with dark colored plants.

Thanks everyone. The deck project is a shared effort.DD and I combined the planters we brought from former homes.It looks so bare in May and over-done in August. I think some re arranging will be done next spring.
I'm adding succulent containers then so something has to be located elsewhere.

I like this combo.

The caladium are amazing.

Beautiful Jo Ann. I may have asked you this before and you may have answered so if I have please forgive me my mind ain't what it use to be. But do you keep any of your annuals over the winter or do you start fresh each year?
