How do you grow it? I've had one now for about 6 years and it puts up new leaves every year ( one or two only) and it looks a little unhappy. It's only flowered twice since I've had it. When is the best time for repotting, fertilizing and how much light and water? They are so hard to find here I really don't want to loose mine.

Briant, I don't have much experience with that plant. I was given a bulb in a trade two years ago.
I only was told that it didn't like too much sun. So, I grow it in a shade place of my garden and I have never repotted or fertilized it.
I usually grow all my plants outdoors because we have mild winters here. Only three or four days a year with temperatures below freezing and it never snows here.
But this year, after a very cold night, ( about 1 Celsius) I found the leaves had faded. I brought the plant indoors and the next day the leaves were good again.
I was worried because it had began to develop a bud, but it did not seem to be harmed and, in the end, it bloomed.
