We are having a good solid rain for a couple of days.
That means---- I am trying to get as much direct seeding done as I can.
So far it is wildflowers and Shirley poppies.
I wish I had my vege patch ready as I would seed them also.
The vege patch may become an instant vege plot from the garden centers.

Sounds like your weather is very like ours. And I put out poppy seeds, too!

I like rain but not this much.... Lord please stop the rain and bring out the sun for a few days!!

It's good for transplanting and I notice that my grass seed has sprouted with only having watered once.

Great transplanting weather, but I need to battle the quack grass which the rains seem to promote.

Ridiculous weather. Grump. I figured "great weather for setting out plants, nice and cool and overcast." HA! Soon as I start trying to set out plants, out comes the sun and I'm scrabbling to find some shade for my wilting babies! DH scrounged up an old clamp on umbrella for one of my passifloras that was looking VERY unhappy. Looked pretty silly, but she perked right up! Had to keep moving the stupid umbrella, tho.

Sometimes I use paper grocery bags to shade plants as I plant them out.

Ah! That's a good idea! You should submit that as a Tip!
