It reminds me of my 'FRAGRANT BOUQUET' with that yellow edge. Green Grin!

I have seen at least a dozen Hostas that look like yours does. The trouble lies in that there are SO many registered hostas that look VERY similar. Giving a positive ID is practically impossible.

Frilly, if it is something you bought at a nursery it should be true to name, only the seeds are not true. If you want to be sure count the veins, measure the leaves and the height and width of the hosta. Sometimes you can not get a positive ID till they bloom.

Others will be along, I have never seen another one like it. It is the color of a green apple.

Robert, what else have you seen??

Also you can post a picture on the 'ID forum' , there are very smart people there who have helped me. http://garden.org/forums/view/...

I live very near Mason Hallow Nursery ( http://www.masonhollow.com/ ). They specialize in Hostas and offer something around 700 varieties at any given time, so when I say I've seen 'dozens' like it it may be an exaggeration, or an under-exaggeration, but I know I've seen more than a couple apple green, yellow/golden/cream edged hostas there.

We know we can eliminate anything registered or not offered before the approximate time it was purchased though, so that should help knock a few right off the list of any possibilities. If it could only be remember what company it was bought through, it would be much easier to find out what they offered in that time frame and compare.

some hostas are fragrant, other are not. That info could prove helpful in trying to nail down what it is.

Frillylily if it's 'Fragrant Bouquet' it will have large white fragrant flowers later in the summer. I have a pic of mine blooming, but on my other computer.

Measure leaf size and count veins and flower details etc... that helps alot -- then you can go to the hosta Library database (http://www.hostalibrary.org or www.myhosta.net) and look up to see if the suggestions match what you see. It's tough sometimes with the more common looking one's but this one is a bit more unique!!

Anyways -- my first thought was Fragrant Bouquet but I think that only has 7 veins... my better guess is Sweet Innocence (It was introduced in 2004 i think)

Happy hunting!!!

Could be, but I think the margin is a bit wider on 'Sweet Innocence'. When I get to my other computer - the one with the pics, I'll take a look.

Looks like FRAGRANT BOUQUET has 7 vein pairs just like mine, and just like Frillylily's. Green Grin!

This was my 'Fragrant Bouguet' a couple of years ago. (I DO have the older pics on the newer computer)

And this was 'Sweet Innocence'. Supposedly an "improved" 'Fragrant Bouquet', but my SI never grew as well. I finally divided it up last year and most of it went to plant sales.
