I have Full Tide, and Missouri Mist. I moved some things around and now I don't know which is who. One is a little more purple than the other?
I would post pics but they don't look right anyway, my camera makes the purple ones look more blue than they really are.

According to our Database here on ATP -- Full Tide is a blue Iris, and Missouri Mist has purple standards and light-colored falls. They don't look at all alike.............

ok well I tried to look up some photos, but it seems some pics look really more blue and other purple until I was convinced some people don't have them labeled right either and then it was just confusing lol

I will check on the PBF, hadn't thought of that. Do either have PBF?

The beard color for the one that bloomed is orangey toward the inner bloom and a light lavender color farther out on the fall.
It has gentle ruffes, nothing too serious. It is a solid color, the top is the same as the bottom, and I think it is more of a blue than a purple. It was very diamond dusted-sparkely looking.

it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to ID from a description or picture. Why PH of your soil, fertilizer, camera, lighting, day or evening, monitors, The only way is either you have a list and narrow it down, or buy one you think it might be it and plant it along side the one in question. If you do not want to do this then just label NOID #1

Well like I said I know it is either Full Tide or MO mist because I ordered those. I looked up pics of both, but some pictures look more purple or more blue so I couldn't tell that way. I thought someone here may have experience growing both of them and may be able to say if one is usually more blue or purple. I could look to see if the foliage is purple. The one that is bloomed right now is a solid color.

I have a pretty good list of PBF being a grower and hybridizer and doing a ton of research, if you are interested in the list let me know and I will forward to you, I know that Full Tide does not have it and neither does Missouri Mist

I have Full Tide and at one time had Missouri Mist.

Something that may help you is if you can find an older cataloge( like schrieners) and read the descriptions. Sometimes they are better than the registration descriptions as to small variations in form, beard color, etc. Also, you have to remember, as wasstated, that culture, and climate can change the appearence of an iris a LOT.!....Arlyn

No it was not on the list but is now, it helps when people tell me. I added some this past year when I would dig the field for replant.
