Lori, didn't you have a bigger garden with more pots and stuff before? Downsizing?

LOL, no just moved a bunch of stuff. The grandson broke a lot of my pots so some of the semps had to go in other places.

You've got a nice collection started Lori. I like the terracotta pieces in the 2 corners that look like short hollow columns. Are those pots or are they open on the bottom too?

They are looking wonderful Lori. I'm with Chris, what are those column shaped terra cotta? And where did you get them from?

I really don't know what they are. I found them at one of my mother's rent houses. They are open on both ends, when I get finished they will have pots in them. I have some little red metal ones that fit perfectly.

The column terra cotta are likely some sort of drain pipe for in ground use. We have a brick yard near here that has numerous shapes of drain pipe such as that, that turned on the end could be used for pottery, except that the bottom is open. It is not uncommon to use the really wide ones (12" and greater) as large permanent planters. I know of one being used about 1/2 mile from where I live. It's probably about 2' wide.

I've had bad luck with terra cotta here myself. I think they must treat it in some way to prevent cracking and flaking. Probably paint or water-proof it while dry. My tc planters always deteriorate over time if left out in the weather.

Is that a local nursery or an on-line one? Sounds dangerous either way. Whistling

Nope, not gonna click that link! I have way too much to do as it is; I won't even allow myself to go to the local plant stores...too much temptation, too little time!
