I am using bishop weed which I know many people have problems with but it is so easy to pull up in my gardens. I use leaf mold and it grows in the leaf mold which is moist and light. I can grab a handfull and it will all come up in a line.

I just do not like wood mulch in my gardens especially my hosta gardens. That wood just seems to breed slugs for me.

Love those Paul -- was wondering what the yellow followering plant was... does Corydalis grow well in the shade? (deep shade??)

Corydallis seems to grow everywhere.

I need me some of that then!!! I have deep shade and need some spring color while the hostas are thinking about making a presence!!

Paul you have a gorgeous garden. Is that yellow flowered plant I am falling in love with a bleeding heart/repeat bloomer? They would be a nice addition to my garden. Did you plant lots & lots or do they spread.

The yellow flowered plant is Corydalis. It seeds all over the yard....shade or sun. I like it but wish it were a little less willing.
