Are the plants in the tray dyckias, except for the two in the lower right, and lower far left? I sometimes buy from a nursery that doesn't label their plants.

Janice, I put my aloes together for a flower show today. They won a blue ribbon, a green thumb, and best in section! Thanks again for keeping us from mislabeling!

A few more! We had 284 entries. Last year we had nearly 400. The drought has taken its toll.

That lot must make for temptations!

Do you mean for snipping cuttings? We've not had many problems with that. We do have members who keep an eye on the tables during the show too. Usually, someone will ask where they can buy a plant they like. We'll ask the owner who sometimes will just give the person a little start. I always leave my cut flowers for people to take after the show.

That's true, but only if given permission. We know of a guy who carries tiny scissors on his key chain so he can snip plants!

I wasn't thinking of snippings, more creating plant lust.

How innovative is that, scissors have many uses!

Janet,. we don't think much of his scissors and watch him like a hawk! If he'd ask, we'd surely give him a cutting.

Meant to tell you, when we went back to the show, I learned I had won the Sweepstakes, Queen of the Show, and the Horticultural Excellence Award. I entered 34 plants and flowers. Won 31 blue ribbons, 2 Best of Sections, and 13 Green Thumbs. I was a happy camper! Now to keep them alive through our hot, hot summer.
