Rocks and a Head

By LarryR
May 31, 2013

When my wife and I inherited her mother's gardens, we were determined to put our own imprint on them, but just as determined to preserve their historic elements. That included the beds bordered with rocks my mother-in-law had gathered from various areas of the U.S. while on family vacations. I'd been wanting to expand on the rock theme but couldn't quite decide how. Then I came upon the perfect solution. I found a head.

Very nice project. I looked on Amazon and just love the peapods, carrots and asparagus. That would make a special gift. I like the selection of rocks! Did you cement them all together? If not, do they stay in place?

Glad you liked the project, Anna. I tip my hat to you. As I mentioned in the article, I did glue some of the rocks around the rim of the water feature. I'll have to see how well the face and the rocks around it weather. If they get moved around a lot, I'll have to mount them on something stable.
