your words quieted my mind

I too talk to my plants, but so far no one has caught me at it, unless it is the dogs who are always out in back when I am. So far I haven't named any yet, but I suspect the time is coming. Just can't wait to read your blogs.

I think I talk to nearly everything. This morning it was to a big, fat worm that had crawled out into the gravel driveway and was slowly dehydrating to death. I told him he shouldn't be there, and took him to a moist flower bed, dug a little hole and put him in, covered him up and told him he'd feel better soon. Yeah, I really did.

Somehow I just knew y'all would understand.

Mary, after one rain we had a couple weeks ago, I pick up over 50 worms and put them in my flower beds. Went back a few minutes later and they had all crawled into the dirt. I always try to save the worms

It's raining and I had to make a fast trip to the grocery and bank this morning. I glanced at the driveway before getting into my car and there are squirmy worms all over it. Ground must be saturated because the rains came hard and fast last night. I'm afraid I can't save all the worms, nor could I dodge all of them when I backed out, but I'm hoping most of them washed to a safe place before being squished.
