I joined this forum in hopes I could find someone that has, or can tell me where I can get a couple daylillies. I am searching for these specific Daylillies for a flower garde memorial of my Cousin's son. The first is :
A Daylily named 'Twinkling Trevor' (Perry-L., 2008) the second being a daylily named 'Tubby' (Brown-E.W., 1978). If anyone should know of these please e-mail me.
Thanks bunches,
Danl

Hmmm. No photos here and not on any members plant lists.

The one from 1978 may be impossible to find. The one from 2008 might be available from the hybridizer. Their name doesn't ring a bell with me. Let me check one more place.

Edited to add... I checked Charlotte's listing of daylily hybridizers. Also checked google. Google found a Dr. Leonard Perry that wrote some info on daylilies from Vermont, maybe he was the hybridizer.

Odd, I can't seem to find anything on it.

Perhaps someone named it for a family member but it was never put on the market for sale.

Welcome! to the forum Dani.

There is no image in the AHS databse either. The 2008 checklist has the hybridizer listed as Perry-L, Laurie Perry from St. Louis MI. Could check regional info, local clubs for a possible link to her.

Dr. Leonard Perry is a horticulturalist with the UVM Extension Service here in Vermont. His webpage is loaded with info.

Char is even more amazing - she has the published printed checklists - they give more information than what is online.

Just trying to help send you in the right direction for possibly locating the daylily. You were a bit to far east Big Grin ( my weak attempt at humor).

The Perrys Perenial Pages are great reading during the long winters.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner. I thank you all for you help in locating one or the other of these daylillies. Maybe I should tell you why it is so important to me. My Grandmother was a gardener of iris's and daylillies in Missouri. She worked weeding her gardens right up until she passed at 100 years + 8 months. She had a garden seperate that she had named Daylillies for my Grandfather, and some of her ancestors. My cousin's son left this world of his own accord at 20. His name was Trevor and they called him Tubby and this is the reason I search these two hybrids. If there is others with these two names in their description I would also consider them instead. Just one will do. Again Thank You very much.
Dan Group hug

Contact info would be helpful

You could buy an unnamed seedling off the lily auction, or from a breeder, and name one for him if you can't find one already named.

Very sorry for your loss of your cousin's son.

Would I then have to register it?

By "name it" I did mean register it, yes. It's not terribly expensive process though. I have not nmed any yet, but many people on here have and could give you more info.
