Crazy, isn't it, to be so nutty about a little tree. But I started it from SEED!!!!!!

Normally I have trouble getting any kind of seed to germinate - total seed failure I am.

Not crazy or nutty at all - to grow anything from seed is just totally awesome and makes me smile too Green Grin!

Awesome! See, you can grow something from seed, something quite significant, I might add.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most.

"To plant a tree beneath the sod and waits to see believes in God". Just awesome. Our city plants magnolia trees on parkways and if you want one in your yard they will plant one. They have a list of trees you can choose from and if I were to put one in my front yard it would be a magnolia . It is a shame the blooms don't last very long.

I'm looking at my single bloom right now, Pegi - it's all brown and flat. But I have another bud, so I'll go through this excitement again in a day or two. Big Grin

What a great thing your city is doing! Please do choose a magnolia. If mine manages to make it to maturity in my lifetime, then I won't have to worry about one bloom a year - there will always be another one to take its place, all summer long.
