Hi everyone. A month or two ago I came across a (I believe) Coleus I'd never seen before. I purchased it at a plant sale at the University of Tampa. I've checked a number of the usual sites, and found a few images at Rosydawngardens that look slightly similar, but I definitely haven't found an exact match.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks Allison. When I first saw the plant, I believe the coloring was slightly different. I thought it was propagated from a pair of 1970's pants Hilarious! It grows well in half-sun, doesn't appear to be leggy, and seems to sit between compact and extensive in size. I have a few cuttings in the shade that aren't growing as well, so it seems like a pretty great specimen for here in Florida.

Thanks for the welcome Allison and chelle.

Aside from Rosydawngardens, Coleus trials, etc. the only place I didn't check was the old DG site. Based on an image search, my best guess would be 'Combat'. I'll have to try and give one of the coleus more sun, to see if it intensifies the colors enough to potentially match.

Regardless, I appreciate everyone chiming in Smiling

Mike

Will do, Allison. Took some cuttings from the plant in the photos above, and put them straight in the ground in a few different locations to gauge the variability in color and sun tolerance. Looking forward to the results.
