I love Josephine and it has been blooming now for a couple of weeks.



Rebecca - is a very nice red



Pink Fantasy - not alot of blooms so far


Still waiting for a few more varieties to bloom.

Josephine is gorgeous! Do you have Rebecca in some shade? The red is vibrant.

I try to take photos before the sun comes up and around to the patio area.
Here is a pic taken a week or so ago of the patio area where I have Rebecca, Avante Garde, Huldine and Blue Angel planted. They've all grown a lot more since I took the photo.

The blooms on your Josephine are picture-perfect. What a great plant! All of them are nice.

Very nice setting for your healthy plants. Do you remember what you added to the holes when you planted or what and when you fertilize?

Those beds by the back patio are slightly raised. I only mixed in compost when I planted them original (2011)and I feed them alfalfa pellets or alfalfa tea in the spring and then again mid summer. They are mulched and we did have a very cold winter this year.

Peg: Josephine hasn't bloomed for you yet? I always think us northerns are the last to see clematis bloom.

Julia, It is blooming but it has first blooms and posted a pic of it on another thread (This is not what I was expecting...)as the shape is right but is a greenish/white bloom. Not very pretty
