Pure pink is hard for me, but my slobber certainly doth runneth over when another part of the spectrum sneaks in as in #2, or when toned very dark as in #4, or when barely there as in #6. Beautiful, Ronnie.

That's so nice. As I recall she grew Akatsuki no Mai which could be the one you're growing now. I'm not good at varietal IDs, so better get a second opinion hahaha.

Why oh why did I look at this thread?
Joseph, those are AMAZING! I've never seen a MG shaped like that one before! Of course, the name "bindweed" scares me a bit! Are these invasive like the bindweed that many of us know about that grows here in the US? The horrible stuff that can take over anything and everything and is almost impossible to get rid of? I'd be thankful if my bindweed looked like this! Not sure that I'd love it, if it has an invasive nature, but it sure is beautiful!
Natalie, it is very invasive...if grown in a container the pot should not sit on the ground. The roots would grow out the drain holes. Then you will have opened Pandora's Box.
Thanks for the warning Joseph! I was afraid of that! I suppose it probably reseeds bad too? I sure wish it would behave itself, because it's now one of my favorites! I'll just enjoy it in your pictures.
