Do take care! Spiny ouch I hate as well. Has your century plant done any bloom yet? I thought it makes pups because pretty soon it will make a showy bloom growth though in a very slow growing stage.

She is only about 6 years old, so I think her blooming period is a long way off Lol. I planted a pup a few years ago, and she hasn't produced any pups yet.
