This was gifted to me by my GF. It belonged to her mother. It has become one of my favorite things to watch in our yard. GF tells me she never has seen this girl smiling as much as she has been in our yard. I really need to give her a name!

Wow, that's great. I've always wanted statuary of people in my yard, but my wife thinks it's a bit creepy. Rolling my eyes.

It looks like the girl was added to the fountain separately; it appears to be finished differently.

It's very sweet, Cheryl. What a nice friend to give it to you. Leave her there for a while, the name will come to you.

Paul, creepy nodding . . . I always think statuary of animals is actually more creepy myself . . too much imagination!

Actually, aside from the pock marks nodding I think she is pretty. It's her hands that are creepy and glove-like.

Oh, I love it! I'll bet the sound of water attracts the birds to your yard.

I think gardens are incomplete unless there are people in them. A garden is a feast for the senses, a connection to the broader world of life and beauty, and yet a private oasis in the wilderness. It is only fitting that people be represented in them. And water. I love the energy and life that water features bring, though maybe my location in the desert influences that.
