reh0622 said: Patricia, it seems like alot of old roses, such as Souvenir de la Malmaison, and La Reine, just to name two, and what are now called romantic roses of newer introductions look very similar to almost identical to your pic. The first rose I thought of is SM which I have. Very fragrant, too!
LittleAnnie said: I thought SDLM was a lighter pink. The form of the bloom looks the same, but, does your rose get this color?

It is delightfully fragrant.
imho, 'La Reine', which I used to have ( ) is a much closer bet...

However your photo shows a swirling of the center petals that la Reine doesn't have.
It probably is one of the other hybrid perpetuals.

porkpal said: Welcome back, Arturo! I'm glad your herculean efforts saved so many plants and that the new well will make further water crises unlikely.
hampartsum said: Hi Margie! Well its winter down here...we are expecting snow flakes in a few minutes...
so I have a bit more time these forthcoming days.
I had a very....VERY...exacting and stressful summer, because our only source of water our wells dried up almost completely... I had to lift all my rosebushes, rhodies and many other plants, place them in containers near our sources of water lines and in the few minutes left of water, sometimes just only 15 minutes, hurry to hand water as many cans as possible...and then wait for 3 hours for another short round. By keeping my cans moist I was able to rescue 225 bushes!

I guess that we should be prepared to extremes...
Usually adversity appears when least expected, completely out of schedule...yes I had to cut back much of my internet activity... which makes gardening so enjoyable. But after spending weeks in survival mode, with the full garden ushered expedite inside the ER., eventually one can look back , and only realize what one went thru, and everyone is understanding and sympathetic. to everyone here, specially to @RoseBlush1 Lyn who helped me during the most difficult part of making difficult decisions.
Perhaps we could reconsider the continuation of this topic in a separate thread. Should I start a new one @zuzu? Something in the order what to do if one recognizes that the full collection of roses will dry out dead unless immediate action is taken.
