Quick Relief (Albeit Temporary) from Poison Ivy

If you are dealing with a bit of Poison Ivy, particularly on the hands or forearm area, quick and intense temporary relief can be had by running hot water (as hot as you can stand it without burning yourself) over the affected area. The effect won't last a terribly long time, but the level of relief is unmatched.

I will definitely use this tip if I run out of Ivy-Dry Super which quickly relieves itching from PI, Oak, Sumac & insect bites. So happy I don't have to walk around with the pink stuff all over me. Sometimes you just need something quick and easy and the hot water foots the bill.

I personally wash with soap after getting into the Poison Ivy, but my Aunt and cousin are really allergic to the stuff. They use rubbing alcohol and cotton balls. They only use each cotton ball once. They are really sensitive to the Poison Ivy. They got the idea from people who make perfume from plant oils who use either another oil or alcohol to dissolve and carry the scent mix in.
