Now that's a thought.

My bookmark bar is loaded with direct links to ATP and other places, and I also have folders that themselves hold a bunch of bookmarks. So I have a folder in my bookmark toolbar called "ATP" and under it I have around a dozen atp-related bookmarks.

I have Bookmarks with folders too, Roses, Clematis, Iris, Daylilies, Rhododendrons, Plant Databases, Nurseries, etc.

Except for my "Garden" folder and "seed vendors" folder of bookmarks, most of mine are only 1-deep. But I keep re-organizing my nested seed vendor folders ... right now it's 3-deep, with my most-often visited sites in the top two.

For shortcuts on my PC, I keep a link to my main "folder with folders of links" in the "Quick Launch" part of the Windows XP Taskbar. That's by far the oftenest-clicked link on my desktop.

I like fiddling with gadgets, and eliminating one click from a chain seems like a worthy pursuit. Also, if I DO have a chain of clicks, the most-frequent path through the chain should not require much mouse movement: like the most-often-visited link should be near the top of each layer.

I'm pretty sure that the PC revolution created whole new kinds of OCD.

Rick, you sound like me with my microwave. If I want to heat something for a minute and a half, I push "9" and "0". One less button to push than 1:30. (My cousin insists that I'm hugely OCD. )

"88" might be close enough to "90", and it means that you don't have to move your finger between buttons.

Hey, GOOD suggestion. Heh, 88 indeed! Although, on my microwave, the "0" is also very close to the "Start" button, so it's not that much of a stretch.

Not sure about the rest of y'all, but I have 4 tabs that are"home" for me... anytime I load Firefox, it loads all four tabs at once for me. Those are my primary internet homes and I keep them open all day (wunderground, gmail, atp and fb) Then I have the bookmarks toolbar for quick access to other stuff, and I almost never use my other bookmarks except to save things so I can find them again. Like Rick, I have some organization going in my bookmarks, but not to his degree.

Mary, I use tabs for FB, ATP, Cubits and Wunderground and my e-mail, but add them one at a time after I load Firefox, how do I load them all at once? I log out at night.

Next time you have all 5 tabs loaded, go to Tools->Options->General and set it up under the "startup" portion of the screen. If you click the photo to embiggen it, you'll see that I chose "When firefox starts, show my home page" and then I clicked the button that says "use current pages" -- that makes every tab you have open one of your home pages, and it will open all of them at one time, every time you launch firefox.
