Is this the correct current name for this plant? I see listings for Austrocylindropuntia subulata forma cristata and just wanted to make sure they are one and the same before I enter it into the plant database.

Nice cactus, and yes forma is Latin for form so forma cristata or cristata should be the same plant

Thanks Mark. It is actually the Opuntia vs Austrocylindropuntia part of the name that threw me....There is so much change going on theses days with the taxonomists, it can be hard to discern just who we should call some plants.

Although, I decided if this one was a maybe/maybe not, it would spend its days here being called Beeblebrox. Smiling
