The most common asters in the wild in KY are Symphotrichum pilosum and S ericoides and the common fleabane Erigeron annuus

It may be hard to determine what you have by the leaves alone. This site lists all the major wildflowers found in KY...perhaps it will be of use to you.

The others are great at IDing plants. But I don't think it's goldenrod at all. It's too early for goldenrod isn't it?
