I have seen garden combos in the perennial forum. How about combo for Sedum in the perennial garden.

I use the upright Sedum in my perennial garden a lot because it is good for Fall color. But some with the color leaves really accent some of my perennial plants even through the summer months..

I am just starting to add some sedums, but I love your Frosty Morn. Going to add it to my want list

Very pretty combo Cinta. Frosty Morn really does stand out with that lovely white edge to the leaves. What are the soft fuzzy leaves to the right of the sedum?

This is one combination that I had in my backyard, I love the Sedum 'Autumn Joy' with the purple/blue of the aster growing with it.

I'm glad this topic got started. More and more I'm looking at ways to work the low growing sedums into my gardens. Both of your photos show nice combinations.

Here is a photo I took the other day of a Japanese iris seedling with a daylily in the background to the right and behind that Autumn Joy which won't bloom for quite a while yet. The daylily (Afternoon Delight) has started blooming but not in the photo.

S. makinoi Ogon seeded itself there and is now actually starting to grow over the S. hispanica. I don't plan these things at all; when I get a plant I hope to find space for it then it gets shoved in. Now I want to try working sedums into other areas.

Connie that is a beautiful combination using the ground cover type sedum. Your Ogon is very happy.
Another great candidate for small leaves and will form a strong mat, is S. lydium.

Here is S. lydium with two different heuffelii.

Lynn that is just another sedum. It was on the property when I purchased it. I think it is Sedum Brilliant. It bloomed like Autumn Joy but the blooms were a purple/pink.

Connie that is pretty. It gets to cold for S. makinoi Ogon it does not live through the winter.

Lynn I have to idea borrow that sedum Aster combo. Thank you.

Borrow away Cinta. That combo came back for a number of years, until last summer when some one I hired to help weed took the entire planting out, roots and all.
I've been in the process of recreating it.
