That would be awesome! Especially in Winter .. but humidity might be a real problem.

My light shelf is in my bedroom, so at least I get to sleep with my seedlings.

I know a couple here in town who live in a geodesic dome house that they built themselves, many years ago. A large section of the inside, at the front, is a garden with trees and flowers and such. While there are large windows, they also have supplemental lighting. The bedrooms, upstairs, have balconies looking over the garden, which is open to the top of the dome.

Years ago my mother used to say to me, she'd say, "In this world, Elwood, you must be" - she always called me Elwood - "In this world, Elwood, you must be oh so smart or oh so pleasant." Well, for years I was smart. I recommend pleasant. You may quote me.

That's what I tell my wife, but she's worried about humidity and dirt...and the fact that I would always be adding new plants to further invade the living areas...

I can't imagine why. It's not like I keep more than a few (thousand) plants in each greenhouse...

I could say that I have so much growing because I run a plant nursery, but it might be more accurate to say that my hobby got so big that I had to get a nursery license. When we moved into our current house I made a deal with my wife that I would section off half of the backyard for plants and greenhouses and no plants would live inside the house without her approval. I've mostly kept to that... Whistling

Hilarious! Hilarious! Sounds like a good compromise. I would have a hard time keeping it though.

I sure hope my hobby doesn't take me there. Bad enough I have to get a plant license to sell plants at farmer's market.

Ah, see, you're already selling plants. Pretty soon other people hear about them and your client list grows and people start hunting you down to buy your plants. Every year you discover a faster way to propagate, a more efficient use of space and time, and a few more plants that you can grow. Then your dozens become hundreds, your hundreds become thousands, and before you know it you are looking at spring growing plans in the tens of thousands and bringing in additional help. It could happen to you. Beware.

You reminded me of a Babylon 5 character who had to admit that he had published a book of someone else's before that author thought it was ready.

"How many copies did you publish !?!?"

"Only a few ...
hundred ...
thousand."

Well... I guess I have to move lots inside with me during the winter... and the humidity or lack there of is the real stress I introduce... so extra humidity would surely help here's a spanish cabin that has a roof top garden and lots of other garden areas in the house as welll..

I don't know if this would be practical indoors, but there is a cheap "fog nozzle" that should work off city water pressure. It would require a pipe thread adapter to plastic tubing, but that would also give you access to indoor drip irrigation fittings.

Pressure range: 10 - 35 PSI
