Hi Becky!

Love your site, and you know I'll be visiting this one.... if I go near that morning glory one well, they'll start sprouting in my yard again LOL! I think I might have finally won the battle with them...will find out in a few more weeks!

I was hoping you had pictures of your garden rooms up here :oD wish I were able to do that in my yard. Think I'll be doing the mini gardening for a while yet LOL

I still have the pink NOID brugs you sent seeds for. they are big and green but no buds and this will be their second spring. I might move them this year and see if that helps.

{{hugs}}

Hi AnjL - Thanks! Are you still in the same home? If so, you created some amazing garden "rooms" by the way your garden beds, arbors, steps, walkways, etc. were laid out. And I remember that huge wall behind you with the vines growing all over it. I was amazed and still am of what you created! Please post some old and new photos! I just loved what you and your dh created that year! Smiling I know you can't get out there during the heat anymore, but can you still garden during the cooler weather?

Here's one of the pix from that first year....

But there is no way I'll post a pix of what it looks like now! LOLOL! I lost ALOT of plants in the back garden when I was recovering from health issues. At least the ones in the front yard survived (thats where my Brugs are!). The back yard is full of weeds and most of the beds were destroyed by my hens. So, other than the hardscaping.... I'll have to start all over again back there.

I can still do some of the work. I got most of the beds cleaned this past fall. But now I look out there (its pouring rain lately) and it seems the weeds grow a foot each day! Ugh! I know whatever we decide to do with it, it will have to be all blood sweat and tears because there is no $$ to buy or hire anyone LOL

Ahhh... yes! I remember that photo! You inspired me with that photo! So pretty!

I would love to see more. I remember you had groups of flowering plants all over the place! It was marvelous! Please post a few more photos to make me sigh with delight! ;-)

Hardscaping is a lot of work. That that is already in place in your backyard. Though I know getting rid of weeds isn't an easy job. I have the same problem here with some of my garden beds. My mother came and stayed with us last year and passed away at our home with the help of Hospice, so I let my long back fence garden bed go unkempt. It is full of weeds, too. So I will be doing the same thing as you ... manual labor. No $$'s here either. I know what the CA and FL economy is right now! (sigh) But I have plans this year to do some serious clearing of the garden beds and planting tons of seeds! ;-)

gosh I miss those blooms! LOL! I still have a looong way to go on the hardscaping, we have no patios or walkways (other than the flagstone one) done yet. My plan was to use the cobblestone mold like you did, I got it started, then health went sour again and thats as far as I got with it Sad maybe someday.... LOL

I think you can see the arbor in this one. He built another arbor later in the year...I'll see if I have a pix

Your photos look like what I imagine Heaven to be like! Simply stunning! I hope you are able to come across some more photos to post! I just loved what you did that year and I know you can bring it back to life again this year! You and I are going to do it! Me with my fence line garden bed and you with your backyard! :-)

Do you have any photos of your front yard? You have brugs? I bet they grow better there than here in hot Florida! ;-)

didnt you do a cobblestone patio area? or am I thinking of someone else?

I just checked and no pix of the front yard on this puter Sad someday I'll make time to go thru and organize all my pix so they are easier to find...just a daunting task LOL

If I remember right... you had the white fence all around your yard with the beds lining it all. but then I forget if you had the cobbles stone patio...wait that must be you cuz you had a white fence around that and morning glorys growing on it ? or is that someone else and my brain cells leaked that info out? LOL

Maybe you could post your pix again so I can remember lolol

Yes, that was me! Country path made from a concrete mold. Smiling Good memory! And I also have a white picket fence around that patio area. I can't find a better photo at the moment, except this one. Seems I have the same organization issues with photos as you do! LOL!

Hello Becky, What a very nice cubit you have going here. I will dig out a few pics of my Gazebo area and a few other pictures I have to share.
1Anjl, It is nice to see your pictures I remember some older pics when you were just getting some of those plants started and I remember that lovely arbor your DH made for you.
Becky, I'm not sure if I remembered that you Scuba dived. If you follow my signature link it will take you to a thread in the Mid-Atlantic Mussing Cubit, My Life on Water. I would love to hear some of your diving stories and memories and feel free to post pictures if you have them. It isn't just for divers it covers all water activities so all are welcome to come and post their water related stories and pictures.
Life is Great! Holly
