It is blue with a yellow edge. It looks like just one leaf.

That's the first time I've seen it happen to that plant. I've had if for several years. I think it's only the one leaf, so will it come back or is this a one time thing?

If its only 1 leaf and not all the leaves on an eye, it probably wont come back. But one can hope Whistling

Mine started with the one leaf last year and this year it is the entire eye. So you may be lucky.

NJBob,

I hate to tell you this, but that plant is infected with HVX. I would cut the foliage off (clean off your tools after) and use round up on it if there is a chance of cutting through other roots when you dig it up.

Thanks for letting me know. I need to read up on it more,is it the dark areas or what I thought was sun burning that indicates it or a combo of both?

Isn't it the classic 'ink bleed' going down the veins?

Yes. The ink bleed look in the veins is what I've seen.

Hostalibrary.org has some good information. Good place to start.

It looks nothing like sunburning. Here is one of mine from last year.

What is the plant Bob and where did you get it??

I am figuring Sum and Substance by the size and shape. Do not remember where it came from. I thought it was a seedling from S&S and an other that I will post a picture of later , it has the blue streaking on the edges of its leaves but has been that way for many years I was going to ask if anyone knew what it was.
