I looked at your link and it says that they can be found in their range (which is Eastern North America) during the summer. I see them here in Texas (At my pond) in the summer too.
Janet over at BugLife on Cubits is the person who encouraged me to learn more about dragonflies and bugs in general. In the beginning, I recall telling her that she was shaming me into learning their name, now it's fun. But, sometimes I still enjoy just watching them and taking pictures.
