Very tall allium introduced in 2006. Flowers are baseball sized and open when plant stems reach into the 4' range. Stems continue growing reaching 6'+ with good growing conditions. Adequate mositure and good drainage essential to keeping long stems straight, stiff, and upright.
My impression was 'neutral at best. So far, just not impressive.

Loved your opinion of the Summer Drummer as I just planted six of these for the first time. I was wondering in what way they are not impressive. If it's planting sites, that might be something I could address before I'm let down. Thanks for your advice.
