So here are our newest projects. Ric did the one with the blue glass tiles and I did the one with river pebbles. They haven't been grouted yet so they aren't quite finished. My pebbles came from a friend that ordered a load to do walk ways they aren't very expensive and I sprayed them with a sealer to bring out the natural color.

I have another similar project going, too. I found 2 concrete pipes 20in tall and 9in across in a field and brought them home. I covered them in the same blue glass tiles that were used on the bowling ball. I am going to turn these into planters and I have a couple of Dracaena for in them and just need to pick a spiller to fall over the edges.

Please post some pictures of your projects.

Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration. ;) Gardening takes a lot of work, but replenishes the soul.

Still have to grout the pebble ball I think that will be interesting with all the different heights of the stones. I have been wondering if I could use something like a pastry bag to squirt the grout into the spaces instead of wiping it in.

Usually when I'm grouting, I use a rubber spatula. Seems to be easier than just wiping it in, especially on curved surfaces.

Looking great, Holly!

I used a small sponge on the bowling ball, kind of wiped it in but there was a lot of wiping off to get the tiles clean.

Yes it sure was but the gluing on was great fun. I have several more balls and hope to do a few more sometime later.
