Evan, Jeri, & Neil - Those thatch roofs always had me wondering if they really kept water/rain out? They look great! Very tropical!

Candee - Love your garden rooms! The sand area looks like a deserted island retreat. A vacation right there at home! Too cute! And I love your seating area near the trees. Looks very inviting and relaxing! Your wooden patio deck is beautiful! What a great place to relax with family or friends! Beautiful job creating your outdoor "rooms"!

Candee and Holly - Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing about the pickle! It really does look like a mexican pickle! LOL!

Neil, that is FABULOUS! And yes, mosquitoes would eat me alive here in Georgia as well. Took the dog out this morning for less than 15 minutes and came back with 2 bites!

Luckily we do not have Mosquitoes here, which is a blessing. We have one venomous snake that lives out in the wild and rarely bites, and even if it does it has only ever been known to kill the very young and the very elderly. I know as I have been bitten by adders four times, due to my own fault of stepping on them! It hurts, but the Hospital does not do much for you. The last time the Doctor told me to go down the pub and have a drink.
We have no scorpions or any venomous (to Humans), spiders at all. We do have bats but they leave you alone and are highly protected by law. The only thing we do have that are a gardeners nightmare are wasps. They love fruit and are a pain, plus they will also sting without compunction. However our Blue tits which is a lovely small member of the tit family (birds), have evolved a way of catching wasps head on, eating the body but not the stinger at the back. I have lots of them in my garden as my neighbour grows a lot of fruit, so they have plenty of food to feed there young.
That garden room would be nice with some chairs in, where one could have scones, strawberry jam, and cream, with tea, on a summers afternoon.
Regards.
Neil.

Having no mosquitoes is my idea of a fabulous place to garden...They are chewing on me and keeping me indoors..My gardens are now full of crab grass and large weeds..I have to wait for a cool down to clean them up..Everything is looking shabby..Excuse me I have to tend to my mosquito bites....

I copied the recipe..Do I spray it on before going outdoors or after I have been bitten?

Although we do not get mosquitoes here, in the west of Scotland we have thousands of midges that bite. Luckily they do not bite me, but they savaged my wife. In every pub, Hotel and store they sell a midge cream that is supposed to repel them. I being most cynical did not believe them, as when my wife tried it she was attacked more by these pests. I rubbed some of this on my hand and I too was bitten by them. No cream, no bites.
Is this a way to make money, I ask?
Regards.
Neil.

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Now that's funny, Neil! They do make mosquito repellent that actually works, but it wears off and I always forget to reapply. Often it is greasy and stinky, too! Frogs help keep them under control. I need more frogs! (Well on my way to frog pest control with thousands of tadpoles in my ponds currently! LOL! Hilarious! )

Hummers love them too. Can't have too many mosquito eaters.

Neil, I was surprised to hear you do not have mosquitoes to deal with. Hopefully the midges aren't disease carriers. If my memories are correct midges in the UK can draw blood. They along with greenheads, a biting fly here in north coastal Massachusetts, are the two insects which just love my blood.
