Luckily we do not have Mosquitoes here, which is a blessing. We have one venomous snake that lives out in the wild and rarely bites, and even if it does it has only ever been known to kill the very young and the very elderly. I know as I have been bitten by adders four times, due to my own fault of stepping on them! It hurts, but the Hospital does not do much for you. The last time the Doctor told me to go down the pub and have a drink.
We have no scorpions or any venomous (to Humans), spiders at all. We do have bats but they leave you alone and are highly protected by law. The only thing we do have that are a gardeners nightmare are wasps. They love fruit and are a pain, plus they will also sting without compunction. However our Blue tits which is a lovely small member of the tit family (birds), have evolved a way of catching wasps head on, eating the body but not the stinger at the back. I have lots of them in my garden as my neighbour grows a lot of fruit, so they have plenty of food to feed there young.
That garden room would be nice with some chairs in, where one could have scones, strawberry jam, and cream, with tea, on a summers afternoon.
Regards.
Neil.
