Dave, I would love to have a notification tab up there that changes color when a new thread is started in the site talk. Not when a new post is posted to a thread but when a brand new thread is started. Would something like that be possible?

I thought I had misplaced my Tree mail. Refreshed, still no Tree mail. Then I looked around the top of my screen and saw some changes. Had to rush to the Site Forum to see what Dave was up to.

on the new changes. and I like the new mail location on the left side instead of over on the right all by itself.

I like it too! Just takes a little getting used to but the more compact look makes the site less cluttered.

. Works fine. Lots of real estate available on the floating bar. Maybe a few more things can easily be fitted. People can easily be asked as to what else they would like on it, maybe logout. Makes no difference to me, I never logout.

Hmmm, I hadn't thought about that. That might work really well.

I rarely log out, but would like to see the Logout at the top of the page, instead of the bottom.

If you rarely log out why do you want the logout link so prominently displayed and using up valuable space?

I guess I really wouldn't.

I log out every day and I do find it a bit inconvenient at the bottom of the page.

LOL, I'm just lazy most of the time but it's not a big deal for me to hit the command and arrow key to get to the bottom; after I've used it a few times it will just be automatic.

once my computer did it ?? and I had to call my son an ask why everything was different and was quite embarrassed when he pointed out I was logged out

Clearing your cookies will log you out. Deleting history/private data can also have the same effect.

Not sure I care for the exclamation point to identify system messages... won't argue if you keep it that way, of course. Just not sure I care for it.

I don't think I'm fond of that either. It doesn't immediate tell me what it means.
