Hello all,

I am very much wanting to grow this herb but I cannot find anyone who has plants anywhere. It is too late for seeds. If anyone has any spare plants, I could certainly give them a fine home. I do not have much in the way of trade. I can throw together a seed collection or I could even pay you for your plants.

I thank you all very kindly in advance.

All the best
Benny

Hello Benny,

Sweet Cicely plants are hard to transplant because they have a taproot, only when they are small they will survive transplanting. I think all the young plants are too big now to transplant.
If you can't obtain plants, I can send you seeds in a few weeks. The seeds here in my zone 6 started ripening. You can sow them after receipt and leave them outdoors during the winter. They need a cold period to germinate. In spring they will germinate. The plants grow very fast, so you can use the leaves already next year.

Hi there Jonna,

Thank you so much for your help with this! Smiling

Because of the taproot, I agree, it will be best to get these planted for next year. Once you are ready to send, please send me a PM. I am not sure if I would have anything you would need or want but we can work that out.

Thank you again and blessings to you.

All the best
Benny
