My friend has this rose in his yard and it's a very old rose. We had one in our garden when I was a little kid and would like to know it's name if it has one. I know it's almost (is) impossible to name something like this from pictures (especially fuzzy ones) but I'm hoping someone might know. Its a climber / rambler (I don't really know the difference) and has a single profuse flush of flowers in the late spring / early summer, not much fragrance and gets extremely long canes. It was growing on our fence and I remember it covered quite a distance. Any ideas?
You're right, CR. That's exactly what it is. I thought of Dorothy Perkins, but then I looked at the ruler and assumed it was in inches, which would have made the bloom too big for Dorothy, but it's in centimeters.
