I'm not sad to see January go. It was a grim month here. Too cold and wet to go outside. Not much on TV aside from news of the latest war horror stories. Even reading was a chore because most of my books are downstairs in the library and my days of running up and down stairs are over.

February is International Friendship Month. Let's hope there's more evidence of international peace this month. The thumbnail photo for this month is of 'Sweet Harmony.' This Gaujard hybrid tea is one of my favorite roses. It grows well in my garden with no special care, producing lots of lovely blooms with a sweet fragrance.

Hi Zuzu...I'm happy to see the end of January, also. We have had a mild winter until the middle of January when single digit temps hit us with 50 mph winds for two days. It was awful.
I checked my roses and was very pleased to see no real damage, so, I'm happy they did so well in their first winter. Now, as long as we don't get any late freezes after warmish weather. Crossing Fingers!
Love covers a multitude of sins......thank God!

A lovely R. Moore rose that's only miniature in its flowers. Great rose for climbing, sprawling, drying, it can be clipped to a large bush, as well. Hardy here in Cincinnati. Sadly, no fragrance.

Red Cascade has done well for me too in a hot humid climate. And it's a true red.

Wow Vapor your Mr. Bluebird is just stunning! My poor little thing was eaten to the ground by rabbits every year so it's weak and small here. Crying

The whole KC area and beyond has been having mail issues so not sure that one would fly easily around here. Whistling Hilarious! But I can say at least for being timely mine is pretty good. Thumbs up

They don't deliver mail up here in the mountains. I have to drive to town and pick my mail up. I think, in general, I am a pretty lousy mail person. I sometimes don't go down to get my mail for two weeks or more ...

Lyn, USPS has a service, they deliver all scanned envelopes of you mails via email. Since I have subscribed to this service I empty my mailbox only if I see something important. nodding

Elena ...

Thanks for the tip, BUT that won't work up here. That service is unavailable simply because our PO is understaffed. That's mountain living ... Smiling
