This house had been a rental.The former owners bought it back and flipped it for resale. There were never gardens here to speak of.
The flip wasnt thotough,we have been working on it ever since we bought it.
This is the side garden May 2008

Scochpine beetle killed a tree in 2009,we put a Bear sculpture on the stump.

agree with knoxred as It was told in begining that your garden is perfectly your reflection if it is not your profession. I like gardening but I am unable to invest time in my garden otherwise I would like to choose all type of lily first.

A belated welcome to you, Matthew!

I'd love to hear more about what a typical Australian garden looks like. My first thought would be an emphasis on drought tolerant plants, but your plant palette is likely much bigger than ours with your warmer climate.

Besides lilies, what would be in your dream garden if you had the time to spend on it?

My garden says I love color and antiques! I have an old dinner bell in one mixed bed. Iron wagon wheels, a rustic bird bath and several vintage watering can grouped on the front porch.

I have to say mine is the same. I couldn't have said it better myself

Can you share these pictures on the Cottage Gardening or maybe even Container Gardening Forum on a thread of choice Tee? (He did have a mindboggling number of containers!)

The pictures may be older but it has definite inspirational appeal, and some who may not have seen it here on this forum might benefit from this old guys efforts!
