More of a shrub than a perennial, but this forum seems a good place for this query.

Does anyone grow these? Do you have a favorite?

I'm planning to put in 3-5 of them in a new bed. I love their natural beauty. I live near Hydrangeas Plus, so I can just go there and pick some out. They have around 20 varieties.....hard to choose though.....

I will be putting in the same variety for all 3-5 of them for a uniform look.

I just love the ones you picked out but 'Bluebird' is my favorite. I just got my first one and it is called Hydrangea serrata 'Tuff Stuff' and the only reason I choose pink is because my girlfriend wants one. So, I was going to give one to her as an early birthday present. Actually I bought four pink ones and I was going to let her pick which one she wants. Only one happens to be a serrata so maybe I might just keep that one for my self. LOL.

'Tuff Stuff' and 'Bluebird' looking amazing!!!! On a whim I ordered 4 of 'Painter's Palette'.....I hope I like it. I know it's a strange time of year to plant things, but I have a very large new bed to fill, (see thread here: The thread "New potting shed Project with new beds" in Pacific Northwest Gardening forum ),
and I don't want to wait until fall. Our June temps have been cool with some rain, so I think it will be okay.

Here is Painter's Palette. In other photos, online it shows the earlier blooms. (Blooms start green with pink before becoming light pink).

So fun to have that big new space to fill. I think you can plant anytime as long as you keep everything watered in, just a bit more time consuming.

That is beautiful Spring! Hurray!

Green Grin! Stephanie, I love that Painter's Pallett, I might get one of those also. Did you notice that the $39.95 is for a three year plant? They also have 1 & 2 year plants for a lower price.

Sorry I don't have any of those. But, now they are on my wish list. I collect mostly re-blooming or different colored hydrangeas.
