If it is a common ditch lily I got scammed again and am going to be highly ticked off! I am already mad because it is not what it is supposed to be, none of them are and the person I got them from will not respond. As a matter of fact they have disappeared from the "other site"

And I don't like this one either!

Looks like a Kwanso

Daylily (Hemerocallis fulva 'Kwanso').

What where they suppose to be?

I was trying to think of Kwanso, I have it out by my mail box with the other ditch lilies. All I could come up with was Kwanza and I knew that wasn't right. LOL

These were a trade, I send nice plants for. Oh well, that's the way it goes. It has taken 3 years to get them to bloom as they were tiny and sickly when I got them in the fist place. I will dig them up and compost them later.

Oh, the other ones is supposed to be Dainty Eyes

Sorry hazeleyes, it sucks that people just can't be honest! I am so I just expect everyone else to be also. So sad it doesn't work that way. Oh well, you live and learn.

I think instead of composting I will offer the ones I don't like for postage, maybe someone will like them.

I can't imagine what your orange double is. It just doesn't look like Kwanso to me. The other one kind of looks a bit like Elegant Candy.

Maybe I can try to get a better pic of the double later.
Wow, the other one could be. It probably does not get enough sun where it is. Elegant Candy is much prettier than this poor pale baby. Maybe I will buy a start of EC and plant it with this one and see what happens.

I have been told that there is a double ditch lily (we have some at my work) but I can't remember what the name it was called when I talked to someone about them.

Sure does look like the one I have at work.

And I agree, us honest people can sure be burned by the dishonest ones. - But I would sure rather be honest. But I would also just want to slap the dis-honest person!!!! Grumbling

There is a double called Flora Pleno, not sure if I spelled that right, could that be the one you are thinking of Jan.

"There is a great deal of confusion pertaining to the identification of Hemerocallis fulva 'Kwanso' and Hemerocallis fulva 'Flore Pleno'.

Basically H. fulva 'Kwanso' is a double with 12 petals and 'Flore Pleno' is a triple with 18 petals! The gardening term 'Flore Pleno' which is applied to many plants means "a flower with extra petals". "

Did I learn something or am I more confused? I am really not sure! I really thought they were one and the same, I guess I have been wrong all this time.

They just keep popping up! I have several clumps of them blooming now. I have finally accepted the fact that the joke is on me and laugh every time another group blooms. What else can you do? I will dig the all up and move them to a secure location where they can do no harm and let them do their thing. No reason to kill them, it is not their fault they are not the beauties they are supposed to be. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Shrug! Ok, thanks for the education on 'Flore Pleno' I had to study that a bit to get it through my thick head but I have got it now! And I will stop trying to make these dang flowers be something they are not and just move them somewhere safe and enjoy them for what they are.
Thank you for the education, I was really, really confused there for a bit!

I have the same ones and I had to move them out to the road so they wouldn't take over. I do not know what they are but they are pretty anyway and when you get flowers (like lemons to lemonade) just make bouquets.
