Now Europe is looking into risks to humans from those same pesticides that are wiping out some bees:

Too bad our country doesn't do something about this also! The other day, some bees showed up here and were using the hummingbird feeder. So I put out some old fruit pieces and a small saucer of sugar water away from that area. And then I moved the feeder, so the hummingbird could still use its feeder. Sure enough, the bees found the new food source and moved over!

Imidacloprid is what they use in the dog & cat treatments to kill fleas & stop their reproductive process. How can they (Bayer) possibly say it has no harm to bees or humans????? It's one of those DUH things!
I am a strong believer in the simple fact is that what matters in this life is how we treat others. I think that's what living is all about. Not what I've done in my life but how I've treated others. ~~ Sharon Brown

More articles about the bees problems. Wonder if bees are like the canary in the mine?

Very interesting! About the last one, guess HFCS probably is a factor in the decline of the bees! And even if the companies don't give it to them, what about all the used sodas cans and other HFCS products that are lying around within reach of them. I've got to be more careful with my soda cans. And goodness knows what artificial sweeteners would do to them.
