I was gifted this from Rucky. (Thank you!) It was not labeled so it is a surprise. Looks like it might be Black Fire? I can't wait to see!

Oh! Such a beautiful bud!! DO NOT pull on it! Maybe blow on it a little, but pulling will just rip the delicate petals.

Lucky you! Post another photo when it opens. (and I don't want to see any rips! Rolling on the floor laughing )

She opened up for me this morning. Obviously, she loved our unexpected 106 degrees we had yesterday.

I wish I could capture the depth of this throat in the camera. It is even less impressive when posting here. Trust me, it is much more beautiful in person.

Cameras are half-blind liars!! I believe the cells have so much water in them, and reflect so much light, that it's simply impossible to get decent photos of Adenium flowers. Hrrrmph.

Gorgeous flower! Lucky you!

That's a beauty! More prominent dark edging to the petals than my Black Fire seedling's flower. I agree, cameras rarely capture the reality of these flowers well most times.

Mike, the lighting has a lot to do with capturing DR's true colors. I chose to use flash in the first photo even though it was morning light. Here is the same flower in full sunlight at high noon, no flash. There is a lot of light and the black edges blur into the red. But the red is more fiery and bight when actually it looks more like the first photo. Still, the bloom is pretty, just different. So, I guess it depends on how your want to portray your bloom.

Very pretty I hope I still have the sister to that one my plants must still be in shock from the move because only a couple are blooming. I going to hit them all with some Superthrive and see if it helps.
