I took this pic right before we had a 70 mph wind storm so I was in a hurry to get it done. Wish I had a better pic and an ID, she is a beauty. It almost looked like she had been sprinkled with glitter when I went to take her picture. It of course does not show up in the photo and the colors don't really come out too well either, the red is a lot more pronounced in person. Such a unique and pretty flower!Thumb of 2013-06-30/enidcandles/8a07e4

Is the halo in your flower like a light cinnamon dusting??? I have one that is very similar in color and mine just started blooming a couple of days ago.Thumb of 2013-06-30/Hemlady/cc54fe

It may be Arc of Gold.

Not really, it is pretty red. I should have another flower soon, I will post a better pic when I do. Thank goodness the wind didn't damage the scapes!

I have Rocket City, and mine is really tall. I don't remember it having gold dust though. My memory isn't what it used to be!

Maybe it had something else on it because of the wind. I will have to take a closer look at it when it blooms again. Like I said, I was in a rush; it was really windy and it might have sprinkled a bit before it took the pics I am really not sure. I sure looked like it sparkled at the time.

Mine may have sparkled, but I don't remember it. It was in the back of the bed because it was so tall, and I had a hard time getting to it anyway, so it is very possible that it was. I get distracted so easy, going from one plant to the next, so I don't always notice these things. Sometimes, too, the flower has to be in just the right light to see the gold dust on it. This one was in a bit of shade. I really love it, so hopefully you have the same one!

Our Rocket City does not grow to its registered height of 36" now because of a hydrangea that grown way too big. I need to either move Rocket City or cut the hydrangea back after blooming this summer.

I am now fairly certain it is Rocket City. It is one I am supposed to have but didn't know where it went. It does not have gold dust, it had pollen all over it and with the light the way it was that evening, it looked all shiny to me. Here is a pic of the bloom this evening.Thumb of 2013-07-03/enidcandles/571106
