Here is a duplicate post. I've been seeing a few of these here and there on the semp and cactus threads. Anybody else seeing duplicate posts separated by other people's posts or one right after the other?

It looks like this new member is resubmitting the same text multiple times. The moderator can and should delete the duplicates (or I can if she's indisposed).

Have you seen this occur with numerous people, or just the one member? If it's the latter I'm thinking it's not a bug in the system...

I've seen duplicate ones from ValleyLynn also...

I know I haven't clicked on send twice. Hmmm, wonder how I would have done that?

Thanks Bev. It isn't very often that I go back up a thread, so I wouldn't have noticed it. Not sure how that would happen?

Actually, Lynn, I was behind on my reading in one of the threads and so was catching up on many posts within one thread. I remember reading your post and then a few posts down reading your same post that was a couple above. I thought Oh, how odd, Lynn posted her comment twice. This was the same thing that I thought when later I saw ericabag's duplicate posts on her "...plant dying bit by bit" thread.

Well, took a scan of most of the semp threads and did not find anything.

When I've seen that happen on other social media sites, it's because there was a lag when the member hit "send" the first time (or "finished," in our case here), and because it didn't look like the mouse-click had registered, the member clicked 'send' again.

But I've never really noticed any speed issues here at ATP, so I have a hard time picturing that happening.

I saw that this morning too Bev.

Looking at it, Kevin posted the first post. He then spotted a typo and hit the back button and altered what he had posted to fix the typo, and then submitted it again, causing a second (but slightly different) post to appear.

The only thing to do in that case is for the moderator to delete the first post.
