I sure have a lot of these this year. This one is pretty short, but it is pretty.

Really? I had no idea any of them were that dark or that short. I guess I have a lot to learn about ditch lilies. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Oh, and by "a lot of these" I meant NOIDs. I have a lot of NOIDs this year.

Mine can be short or tall, and darker or lighter at times. I guess it depends on their mood. Everyone seems to be getting shorter scapes this year too, so maybe it's just the weather. Sure does look like one to me though. It doesn't mean that it is a ditch lily. It's just what I think it is!

I don't have any idea! I don't remember where I got it. I has never gotten tall though, always a short one with a small bloom. It may be a small ditch lily, heck it could be worth millions for all I know. Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing That would be just my luck, to have something really cool and rare and not know it. Then I would pull it up and compost it or just flat out kill it! Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

I may need to fertilize mine and buy a Sammy to see what happens. This one is in a spot of total neglect!

I really do love ditch lilies, but I choose to love them. I really think they are beautiful, especially in a huge clump. I would gladly give them up though, if I had to. They are simple, bloom well, and behave well for me. I don't have to worry about missing blooms on them because they aren't spectacular. I guess maybe that is why they are so pretty to me!
