Lori, I would say the AIS registration trumps HIPS description, but in looking over PBF lists, I don't see Spindrift listed anywhere, although, on a search of the HIPS forum, I found one comment that it DOES have PBF. It also seem that a couple of HIPS members grow it, so maybe one would "guest" a plant? As far as the "trying to re-bloom", that would NOT be a deal breaker, as re-bloom is a real chancy thing, and may not have been reported. From the only pic of Spindrift I've found, yours does look close, at least to me. Close enough for a "test" anyway. I checked my "sources", and see no commercial grower that offers it, but, as I say, ask on the HIPS forum, or contact Brett to check the databank.....Arlyn

Arlyn, look at the pic here. If this photo is correct, it is not Spindrift either. This could be a very long journey!

I see Willow Bend Iris (in Colorado) lists Spindrift( it's spelled "Spendrift there, probably a typo) on their site, and shows they have 3 plants left....Arlyn

The different registration could be because the original was withdrawn before introduction. I have a couple of those of my own.

Oh, that's good to know Lucy. I would have never thought of that, thank you.
