Mine is planted in part shade. That works here.I have Satisfaction in mid to late sun and it bleaches out from the time it opens.
As color goes I believe Satisfaction and Robina are very similar.
I am trying a similar OT from the Lily Nook-- 'Kiss of Fire'. It is on the west side of the house and in shade until the sun comes around at about 2 or so in the afternoon. It is supposed to be quite red (from its photos, yeah!).
That African Lady is Stunning! I bought Kiss of Fire from B&D for fall planting. According to them it starts out red and then it starts to turn a dark reddish black color as the flowers age. We shall see!
'Kiss of Fire' looks very pale here compared to its pictures. In its third year here, personally not impressed, but am giving it another year to prove itself. We'll see...
I'm am very much testing these dark purple/ pink ones. Do they show the color as represented?
Robina came to me virused from a good source, and I have not tried it again. Pictures here make me think it might be worth it.
I read from a certain vender they wouldn't sell that one because of it's reference to the seedier side of life but that looks quite fresh and innocent to me.
Yes Moby it would be that same vendor. I don't know about anybody else but my first thought of "Push Off" referred to a boat leaving the dock. Maybe I'm just too naive or old.
Anthony, I don't think that bulb would even make it to the front door.
Name: Anthony Weeding Rosetta,Tasmania,Australia (Zone 7b) idont havemuch-but ihave everything
If that boat was leaving the dock, no doubt it would end up here'Off Christmas Island'.. with all the others... Then Its our fault when they smash and drown!..Cant say too much on here!
Brian, I thought the same with 'Push Off'. 'Kiss of Fire' sounds like a fire-breathing-dragon. So maybe I am naive too. The one name that I have really been not too fond of is 'Arsenal'. I would think the naming part would be most fun, but that's just me.
