I thought the same about Push Off ~ and to say it to someone was a impolite way to say 'get lost'.
'Arsenal' is an odd name that probably wouldn't appeal to me unless it had a pattern that looked like a fireworks display.
'Kiss of Fire' sounds like a fire-breathing-dragon-sun-burn Green Grin!
Where are we going, and why am I in this hand-basket?

Those are some lovely lilies. I haven't been on this forum for a while, and had forgotten just how much I love the lilies. My Silk Road lilies usually reach 7' or more, but this summer, they are around 4'. I'm wondering if the heat and drought from this summer AND the last 2 summers is causing this? African Queen, Scheherezade (sp) and some of Buggycrazy's lilies are not putting out nearly as many buds this time around. Is that the lack of rain?
Some of my newer ones that bloomed for the first time surprised me with incredible scent! Bonus!
Here's what they look like after 8 days over 100 degrees, and constant dry wind, no rain. Normally these grow to the top of the trellis. The yellow coloring has almost completely faded out. Crying

Yes, the drought has taken a toll; many things are half the size as in a normal year. Looks like you might want to treat that lily with a fungicide and avoid overhead watering.

Moby, I thought the brown was sun scorch! There's not been any overhead watering. I'll get out my fungicides. It's supposed to be much cooler tomorrow. Thanks for your suggestions. I tip my hat to you.

My Lemonlime Trumpet was over 8' last year and only about 3.5' this year, Doesn;t look like it will bloom. Do think the dry weathe last year hurt some more than others.

Anastasia is very tall and the flowers widely spaced.
Not sure who this. Was suppose to be Deep Impact. Looks like and OT but maybe an Oriental. About 6:.Thumb of 2013-07-13/stilldew/475392

Susan, that's not Deep Impact. It is an OT, it's a nice one but I don't know which one it is though. Deep impact is a dark red oriental with a narrow white margin.

Whether 'Garden Affaire' is a trumpet or an OT. It appears to be sturdy and gains beauty in each of its three years here.

I am usually on the Daylily Forum but I do have a few Lilies. Two years ago I purchased Levon and Anastasia. My Levon is doing well but Anastasia has only gotten to be about 2' tall and never blooms. It is planted at the back of a bed next to a wall and I think it may be to shaded, any suggestion on how to get it to take off would be appreciated.

The weather last year was really hard on some lilies, do you think Anastasia receives adequate water? My Ana is a meer shadow of its former self.

I would say last year was tough on lilies here. Height this year is less on many than in previous years in the garden. Seems like the more oriental presence, the more they were challenged.

Waited years to obtain this one. Not as dark as I had hoped, but nice.

Those are beautiful Tracey. I don't think water is the problem because it is in a bed that is close to the house and it gets watered often.Thumb of 2013-07-16/petalsnsepals/ba780c
