sandnsea2 said:Lynn,
I was trying to find all the semps with f/ in their name.
The search for some reason does not work???
We should be able to find all of these somehow.
Thanks

Dave is there a way to search for all sempervivum with f/ in the name?
Like this entry: Sempervivum tectorum subsp. boutignyanum f/Andorra
Hen and Chicks (Sempervivum tectorum (boutignyanum) from Andorra)

The search doesn't work with less than 3 characters. So you'll need more than just /f

I tried f/a and it doesn't bring anything up. Will it not search using / symbol?
We have a number of semps that are named by the area they originated from. Thus the f/

I think you're right that it disregards the slash altogether.

I'm using a third party software tool to provide our search functionality and am limited by its feature set. This is one reason why for the most part, I write my own code.

Will that be changed in the future? Right now we can search for a list of semps under this criteria.

It probably won't change in the near future because the software I'm using for our search is working very well, except for this limitation.
