I planted onions and carrots in the bed where we had several tomato plants last year. We've found so many volunteer tomato seedlings growing amongst the onions and carrots! Smiling Now that the carrot seedlings are big enough, I need to put down some leaves for mulch.

LOL I see several tomato plants there! Love the volunteers!
I'm Looking forward to seeing your progress.

When do you harvest the onions? I planted some starters but don't know how long they take? I planted them in Feb. I think, and they are still tiny little things.

Sometime in the summer is when they'll be ready for harvest. It's kinda hard to know because of this crazy weather we've been having.

Okay then I have a few months to wait! It sure has been crazy weather! We had twelve and a half inches of snow in Feb after I planted them onions! I agree that is not normal for here!

Here's an updated pic of the onions, carrots, maters, and cuke bed. Things are so much bigger now. This pic was taken about 2 weeks ago. The cukes have come up and now the whole bed is mulched. One of the maters set flowers yesterday!! Hurray!

I guess it's a little cooler here but everything seems to be going slow, or maybe I'm just being impatient!

Here's a view from the front. The tomatoes and onions are about the same height. The carrots are just a bit shorter.

Ok, I am really green with envy now!! I have 3 or 4 tomatoes in the ground. I hope they are making a good root system because they aren't doing much above ground. I have so much left to do out in the yarden. Hopefully I can get more done next week.

GOD bless and keep each of you.
