When I receive the newsletter announcing the raffles they are already over and done with. What do I need to do to receive announcements in a more timely manner? Thanks.

We post the raffle to the front page of ATP and it stays on the front page for several days. We also pre-announce them on the podcasts and we also discuss them on the forums ahead of time. The raffle ticket buying window is open for 3 full days.

We do the raffle each month, always on a Monday, and usually the 3rd Monday of the month. Hitting the homepage is the best way to keep up with the new and exciting things happening on the site.

Wow, I missed it too, and the ATP Home Page is one of my home tabs on my browser. I was at a client site, but was on ATP at least twice/day all week, and don't remember seeing the raffle announcement at all. Weird!

Whenever there's a raffle it appears at the very top right of my home page ... large box right in the top spot where currently it says Today's Idea.

I went there before I asked the question. What I saw there was a list of the 3 prizes, and a notice that the thread was closed. I just clicked again, and still didn't see any winners listed. I'm willing to concede that sometimes I skim rather than look closely, but I saw a one-post thread announcing the raffle with details about the companies providing the prizes, a final comment that the raffle would be open for 3 days, and the link to learn more about acorns.
