Hi Margaret, what a pretty banner. If you weren't sure of this flower, it looks much like Wallflower to me, maybe Erysimum cheiri. Love it!

Thanks Christine, I'll look that up and see if I can id it, it was here before me, so about 12 years, it grows on a rock wall very neglected.

a rock wall ? well then, maybe I am right (which I must admit doesn't really happen all that often), that would suit wallflowers perfectlyl!

I've tried growing wallflower for several years but it doesn't seem to like our heat. It would probably like your climate.

I don't know about that, it can darn hot, very dry and windy here in the summer.
